Problems for Michigan Race

Postby Kahne4RedBull » Sun Aug 14, 2011 11:13 pm

Hey Buster, was practicing for the Michigan race in the Pure Sim room and I have noticed that there is way to much tape on the car the way me and Tony were running. If you run the outside for 4 laps, you get the red Temp and I was behind Tony at the time and he had water pouring out the back end, well actually smoke. He said that he was overheating. So I hope you take a look at it and lower the tape

That's the way it was last race. You have to back off on the high line or risk overheating.

Yep! Watch redlining into the turns. Good race; watch your P & Q's.

No offense but I'm just saying, if you keep the tape the way it is, we will have single file racing on the inside line because you can't get the outside line to work to the full extent without hurting the motor. The thing about it is it would need to be lowered just a little bit lower

We didn't have that last time? We had people on every line running hard. Just because you can't get the outside to work, doesn't mean other people can't.

I can easily get the outside to work, just that I find it pathetic that we are going to be restricted to running full out. I am not trying to pick a fight, I just don't think it's right.

Buster changed this for the first race in June.

Subject: Michagan Setup

We weren't restricted that much. I know he changed the tape last race, but he didn't change it by much. I figured he loaded the same setup as last time. You could run about 4-5 laps on the outside going flat-out until it starting overheating. If we reduce the tape too much, the we'll be running single file on the outside. We had it right last time.
