Should We Continue to Run 09 Even with NTG Patch Fix?

I got this thought last night while looking throught the leagues forum on the NTG forums. Don't know why, but i figured i would bring it up atleast....

As we all know, Eutechnyx is going to be releasing a patch to fix a majority of the issues for both offline, and online for NASCAR The Game 2011 (You can view the list at the link at the end of the post). I've been a moderator at Eutechnyx not for a very long time, but from what i've seen, and read, there is alot more for them to fix in order for things online to be running smoothly.

In my opinion, they need to fix a majority of things for our league to EVEN be FUNCTIONAL in NTG. Even with the fixes in Patch #2, there are definitely alot more things they need to fix.

Let me name several to name a few.

1.) AI Controls Driver at start, and stops (until someone has to back out)
2.) Results/Stats/Map REALLY messed up with lag (i finished 1st in a race, and it put me in last once with no map tracking)
3.) No bump drafting at Dayonta/Tally
4.) Someone wrecks, and blames you, but you don't see the wreeck on your screen
5.) Need i say more......

There are plenty of things that need to be fixed in order for us to run in NTG. Would you guys like to race in a game where we don't have to worry about stuff like glitches, AI control, etc, or do you want to worry less, and race in a game we've known for 3-4 years? I think we should be racing without having to worry about any of that crap.

I think NTG 2011 should be scrapped all together in my opinion. I say continue with Nascar 09 as long as we can before switching. Maybe NTG 2011 will be usable by mid summer for leagues. Still cant believe all the hype about this game to be let down this badly.

Tonight and tomorrow night we could run a quick 10 or 20 lap race at Texas, just to make sure everything will work fine(with NTG 2011). And If something goes wrong, hurry and switch to NASCAR 09.

I wrote in NTG forum my online nascar expertise experience .I asked them for the complaints to completely stop have me or some one like me do the testing before "big patch " comes out.That all i would charge is white castle hamburgers and a free copy of NTG 2012.I would promise there would be no complaints from the hard core online league racers.I would test xbox360 with few others i would have in this league help me and have some to do the ps3 <-- lol joke.But if they fail with these patches without some one like myself to do final testing.They will get Hammered Hard by me a rest of pissed off hard core racers.But lets just keep racing the awesome EA 09 till or if NTG gets fixed.I thinking of calling Vegas and bet $1000 that it just needs redone that no patch going to fix this garbage.

With regards to the release date of patch #2...

We will be working on the damage next week, whilst at the same time fixing the remainder of the issues listed above. The patch will then be tested for around a week. The final stage is Certification with Sony and Microsoft. This can take around 1-2 weeks. So week beginning the 9th May could be a realistic release date if everything goes to plan although there are elements beyond our control in this process. We'll keep everyone up to date with developments.

I ran a race offline the other day with a custom setup that seemed to be ever adjustment I made made no difference.... raced it... it felt like crap.... then I had to restarted the race and it seemed as if all my adjustments kicked in and it was more slippery and loose than a flopping fish....

Setups have no effect and sometimes dont kick in???
definitely running 09 as long as possible

We aren't going to be able to, because if we put more than 8 people in a room, the game will lag, and cars will be flipping over, etc. That will be fixed in this patch...
